Card Club Challenge Number 2

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone had a very happy weekend! I'm here today for the Card Club Challenge #2! Okay, so first, here are the rules:

1. Each member is required to create one card every other week, following the guidelines given. I will start with posting a blog containing the first set of requirements as well as my card. The requirements can be anything: has to have blue on it, must be larger than 4 x 5.5 in size, designed from an inspirational photo, etc.

2. Whoever writes the guidelines for that week tags another person-there doesn't have to be any order in who you tag. If you are participating, please comment so we can add you to the tag list!

3. You will have two weeks to complete your card. If you are tagged to write requirements, please have the requirements ready by the end of the two weeks, so everyone has ample time to make their cards.

4. Post your pictures on your blog and comment to the person who sent the challenge with a link to it. This part might get confusing-we can work this out once we get started. The group will decide-do we want this on one main blog? Do we want it to jump to each person's blog? Do we want everyone to post all the cards every two weeks? We will need to make some decisions.

Now for this weeks challenge! The challenge is to create a birthday card using only primary colors! Meaning only blue, red, and yellow. Of course, you can use white but only in minimal amounts. Submit your card and leave a comment on this post linking to your card, by April 25, and on that day look on DeeDee's blog for the next challenge, that's right DeeDee TAG your it!!!

Now here is what I came up with:
I hope that you enjoy this challenge! I did, it took me out of my comfort zone. I don't usually use the primary colors, I'm more of a secondary color kind of girl, I suppose!
To create my card I used:
  • Plain Cardstock
  • Blue Ink
  • Happy Birthday Rubber Stamp by Stampabilities
  • Diamond Stickles
  • Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
  • Holographic Embossing Powder by Ranger
  • Square Brad by Spare Parts by The Paper Studio
Don't forget to check out the other members blogs also!

This has been a crazy weekend, I've been working hard at the coffee shop, but I got really good news on Friday afternoon, my barista career will ending soon, as I have gotten a student position with the Bureau of Reclamation here in Billings! I'm so excited to be doing something that has to deal with my major! Everything has been turning around!

Now about this coffee addiction that I have came to have, its going to be expensive to drink as much without the discount, but it is for the better, heres to new adventures!

I hope to see your challenges this week!

My First...

...Card Club Challenge! So about a week or so ago my BFF in Denver, the creator of rachel may designs, texted me and asked if I would be interested in joining her in a card club. And of course I said, "YES!" Then proceeded to procrastinate on making my card. Don't ask, I suppose life happens sometimes. But anyway, here are the details for this weeks challenge! We would really enjoy your participation in the challenges!

Your first challenge is to create a card for a friend-no specific rules on that, it just has to be designed as something you would send to a friend, and it must be spring-themed. I'm looking for bright, happy, colorful cards, folks!

And here is my card!

To create my card I used:
  • Plain Cardstock
  • Cuttlebug with embossing folders
  • Coffee Ink
  • Holographic Embossing Powder
  • Thinking of You stamp by unknown (its from my collection)
  • Striped Brad from Spare Parts by The Paper Studio

Do you see the embossed background on the card? I did that with my cuttle bug and the embossing folders, it is super easy, and the best investment ever!

Here are the details:
